Known Limitations

• Single Connection Limitation

  Only one Webull connection can be active at a time. Connecting the same Webull account again will automatically replace any existing connection. This limitation comes from Webull’s side.

• Webull Notional Trading Update (Jan 2026)

Webull now requires users to sign OTC + fractional trading agreements to fully support notional trading.

If the agreements are not signed:

Notional orders only work for:

• exactly 1 whole share, or
• fractional shares under 1 share

Orders like 3.75 shares must be split into:

• 3 shares
• 0.75 shares

Each order must be at least $5 USD in value.

• Joint Accounts
  • Joint Accounts are currently not support on the API due to a brokerage limitation on Webull
